Alice Langehennig, Minister of Music Alice
Langehennig is an enthusiastic and energetic musician with a heart to serve the
Lord and share His blessings through music. She and husband, Terry, reside in
Canyon, Texas where she is in demand as a pianist and accompanist. As well as
serving as music director at First Christian Church, Alice is a part-time staff
accompanist at Amarillo College. Music has always been a major part of life,
having been born into a musical family in Monroe, Louisiana. Alice received her
Bachelor of Arts – Church Music degree from Pacific Lutheran University in
Tacoma, Washington. Her church music director experience includes choral groups,
handbell choirs, children’s music ministry, and worship planning and leading.
Alice combines her love of Jesus and serving God with her love of music through
the writing of a Bible study,
The Message and the Music, which focuses on the biblical message

Bill
Green is a sixth-generation Texan, born in San Angelo, who has a passion for
Texas history, is an avid book collector, and an accomplished pianist. Bill
earned his B.A. in History and English from Hardin-Simmons University, his M.A.
at Baylor, and a Ph.D. in History and Historic Preservation from Texas Tech.
Bill's museum career spans 50 years, beginning at the Fort Concho Museum in San
Angelo, to curator of the history collection at the Museum of Texas Tech
University, then on to the Witte Memorial Museum in San Antonio. After serving
as the Capitol Historian for the State Preservation Board, Bill came to the
Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum, serving nearly 17 years as Curator of
History. Upon his recent retirement, he was bestowed the title Curator Emeritus
from the museum. Bill's love of music goes back as far as he can remember,
having been taught to read music by his grandmother before he could even read
words. Bill has been playing for First Chrisitan Church since 2005. His favorite
hymn is "To God Be the Glory," and he plays a beautiful rendition of "Amazing
Grace", his own arrangement.
